All editions of Chicken Newspaper feature a letter of the alphabet. This one features the letter O. The way it looks and reads is something unique to Chicken Newspaper as it tries to convey issue to primary school children in an engaging, non-condescending way.
To celebrate the launch of the digital Food edition of Chicken Newspaper and its Food Calendar for 2018, I illustrated some favourite foods which were used in both publications.
The aim is not to discuss food in calorie numbers or nutrition facts, but to remember what it was like to taste them for the first time. The images had to have a sense of adventure and nostalgia about them. The edition is out now and the calendar, which can be started any time of the year is available to purchase on the website.
